Mission
The Sanctuary Farm & Rest House exists to provide a haven for people, habitat for creation, and hope for recovery. While anyone is welcome to visit, the Farm’s guest program will be geared toward people in recovery from addiction, post-traumatic stress, or burnout.
Where
Sanctuary Farm and Rest House is located in north east Arkansas. The farm is approximately 2.5 hours from either Memphis or Little Rock airports, and approximately 3.5 hours from St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The nearest cities are Pocahontas, Arkansas, or Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Who we are
We are on a small farm run on conservation, regenerative farming, and accessible design principles. We currently own 66 acres and welcome 1-8 guests at a time to stay with us. Anyone is welcome, but priority will be for guests who are recovering from substance abuse, homelessness, post traumatic stress, or facing burnout.
For 2024, we are only accepting respite guests (people working with other people facing addiction, or counseling evacuees or helping refugees, or working with the un-housed population, or other humanitarian and related work) while we take a break from the "front lines" ourselves. Short-term visitors can send us an email to check on cottage or guesthouse availability. Please see our Services page for more details.
We anticipate welcoming long-term recovery guests again in 2025.
