Food & Fiber is our farm social enterprise.

What do we do?

1) We raise rescue alpacas and make things out of their fiber:
  • handspun yarn
  • mini-mill spun yarn
  • bird nesting material
  • felted dryer balls
  • dog toys
  • cat toys

2) We raise free-range pastured chickens for eggs, and free-range pastured turkeys for autumn feasts.

3) We raise semi-pastured (dry lot + woods + pasture) American Guinea Hogs, a small heritage breed.

4) We grow a large vegetable garden that varies each year, but usually includes:
  • Heirloom tomatoes
  • Suyo Long cucumbers
  • Sugar baby watermelons
  • Other melons
  • Greens: arugula, chard, collards, kale, lambsquarters, mustard
  • Okra
  • Pumpkins: large, and Sugar Pie
  • Beans
  • Onions (sweet white, creole, sweet yellow, red)
  • Sunflowers
  • Herbs
